some things of late
Lately I have been rather busy with my course and finding less and less time to blog and I'm missing it. Firstly I would like to introduce you to my new venture with my lovely floristry class mate and good friend Caroline, we have decided to blog together about our progress in floristry and our dream and aspirations for the future along with a whole lot of beautiful inspiration, you can visit out blog blooms and beauty and read a little about us and our welcoming post.
Today is my day off, I have made it my day off, I was meant to be busy but feeling a little under the weather so have been tidying up my windowsill of plants instead. Sorting them out, conditioning them, re-potting my plants is always thoroughly enjoyable and therapeutic, perfect thing to do when you're feeling a little grotty too. Coco look at the Cardiospermum seed you gave me, it has become a plant!
I have lately been making funeral tributes in floristry, practicing ribbon edging and sprays.
Last night the sunset was glorious, happy weekend to you all xxo
December Photo Project
I found this after reading about it on Lotte and Bloom blog and decided to join in myself, seems like an excellent way to celebrate the run up to Christmas, read more about it here xxo

bobbin and bee
when I worked at Ethel's kitchen in Hove I met a beautiful women called George, our lives were full of coincidences, she is originally from Penwortham, as am I, when I worked in a bakery at age 16 George would come in for her lunch as she worked round the corner, she lived on the same road, which is the road my mum's house is on, her partner is from the same village as my partner, we both love pretty vintage dresses, we have the same sense of humour and so on and so on, it was magical, and all this time we had never known each other, we have vague recollections of each other but never knew. The place we met is just short of 300 miles from the village we grew up in. I went into Ethel's kitchen one day, handing out CV's when I had first moved to Brighton, a few weeks later I was hired and George and I have been the best of friends since and luckily our boyfriends are very close too. It is all very romantic. So the point of all this is, my lovely friend who is also the bestest cake maker in the world has moved back up north and opened a little cake business you can see here site here 'bobbin and bee', I highly recommend her and for those of you that know Ethel's kitchen well, which I know many do, she is the maker of the infamous Raspberry and Rose Victoria Cake, the coffee cake, carrot cake and gosh so many more xxo
sketches and the like
been sketching using different mediums and really enjoying it, I am sketching to show the different elements of floral design, colour, texture, space, line and form. I had a go at making a christmas card using the washi tape I purchased from what you sow, I have found so many uses for it! Have a peek at the what you sow shop if you like, here, I have a christmas list of items I want from it and the owner, such a lovely lady pleasure to get to know her, makes it even better when you know you are purchasing things from someone great xxo

colour swap, new bangle and the sea of love
I made a new bracelet/bangle for myself today, melting down bits of scrap I had around, inspired by poppy heads, dried poppy head.
My colour swap arrived from Anna, thank you, it is beautiful, I am wearing the flower now, and Conker is asleep on the scarf, which I will soon take back from her, my colours were baby blue, burnt orange and olive green. The swap was organised by the lovely V at a butterfly in my hair, thank you for organising it V, I hope to partake in many more xxo
I can not fault any version, nor choose between.......
